Director/Producer/Editor Bio
Scott Petersen produced and directed the award-winning, feature-length documentary Out of the Loop, which explored Chicago’s underground music scene and featured such Windy City notables as Veruca Salt, the Jesus Lizard, and Steve Albini. This movie enjoyed a 15-city tour of colleges and universities and played at several festivals around the United States and Europe. Out of the Loop was broadcast on PBS.

Armed with degrees in Film and Economics from the University of Michigan, Petersen began his career on the feature film Zebrahead. Along with working in John (Home Alone, 16 Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off) Hughes’ office, his resume includes work on Antiques Roadshow, Rescue 911, Unsolved Mysteries, Fox News, BBC, VH1, the Food Network, MGM Home Entertainment and several feature films and commercials.

His work includes the short A Buck and Change, editing several projects for the Recording Academy (they present the annual Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards), and cutting making-of DVD featurettes for MGM. Scrabylon is his second long-form documentary. His feature-length documentary, The Renaissance of Mata Ortiz is the amazing, cross-cultural story of how an American adventurer and a brilliant, self-taught Mexican artist transformed a dying desert village into a home for world-class art. It's currently playing the festival circuit and screening at a variety of theaters and museums around the country. He lives in Southern California.

Composer Bio
David Mann is a highly innovative composer writing for film and television in Los Angeles. His work has included Disney, Fox Sports International, and many others. A graduate of USC’s esteemed film scoring program, David studied under Pulitzer Prize winner Rand Steiger, as well as film giants Christopher Young, David Raksin, and Jack Smalley. Directors agree on the originality of his music, as well as his commitment to finding the right musical voice for each project.
